Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu has urged collaborative efforts to eliminate systemic barriers hindering marginalized groups in Ghana from accessing quality education.

Speaking recently, he reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving education for girls, children, and persons with disabilities.

Iddrisu emphasized the transformative role of education but acknowledged ongoing inequalities rooted in entrenched systems and historical challenges.

He called for collective action involving the government, private sector, international organizations, and communities to ensure inclusivity and equity.

Referencing the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), he underscored Ghana’s commitment to Agenda 2030, which positions education as foundational to global development.

He noted that achieving equitable education is essential for unlocking the nation’s potential and aligning with international objectives.
