Tamale South MP Haruna Iddrisu has hinted at a potential presidential ambition following his re-election in the 2024 general elections.
Speaking on TV3, Iddrisu stated, “My eye is on the ball, but I don’t know about tomorrow,” signaling his interest in future leadership opportunities.
Addressing Ghana’s economic challenges, Iddrisu acknowledged the tough situation President-elect John Dramani Mahama is inheriting, expressing confidence in Mahama’s ability to navigate the crisis.
During a press briefing in Accra on December 9, Iddrisu emphasized the need for accountability, stating, “We cannot take the people for granted; Ghanaians say, ‘If you fail us, we will show you tomorrow.’”
With Ghana facing inflation and currency depreciation, Mahama has pledged to stabilize the economy and address these pressing issues upon taking office.
