He must mend his ways – Dafeamekpor calls out Afenyo-Markin’s leadership

Majority Chief Whip and MP for South Dayi, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, has concerns about Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin's leadership style. He urges Afenyo-Markin to reassess his approach during the parliamentary recess.

Dafeamekpor noted that Afenyo-Markin is not the first minority leader in Ghana. He has also served as a majority leader before. Dafeamekpor mentioned past complaints about Afenyo-Markin's leadership style.

On Channel One Newsroom, he recalled Afenyo-Markin’s time as Majority Leader. He criticized Afenyo-Markin for frequently holding press conferences and taking issues to court. Dafeamekpor pointed out that Afenyo-Markin often staged walkouts on matters initiated by his own party.

Dafeamekpor hopes the parliamentary break will help Afenyo-Markin reflect on his methods. He believes this time can improve engagement within his party and with others.

He stated, “This recess will offer him the opportunity to review his performance.” Dafeamekpor encourages Afenyo-Markin to consider how he handles matters on the floor and interacts with others.
