Hearts' defeat is a very painful one - Ibrahim Tanko

Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko called the team's 1-0 loss to Hearts of Oak "very painful."

Raphael Amponsah's long-range shot secured the win for Hearts. This match took place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The defeat was Medeama's second straight league loss to Hearts this season.

After the game, Tanko shared his disappointment. He said, "I think it is a very painful defeat."

He noted that they conceded a goal they usually don't allow. After that, they responded strongly and created many chances.

Tanko mentioned, "I think that was their only chance in the first half." He added, "It was just a long shot and they scored."

Despite the performance being good, he expressed dissatisfaction with the result. The loss dropped Medeama to seventh place in the league table.

They are now two points away from the top four. With three defeats in five games, Tanko aims to regroup and push for a top-four finish.
