Minority Chief Whip and Nsawam-Adoagyiri MP, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, has urged New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters in Ablekuma North to rally behind fellow party members in confrontations with National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters.
Addressing NPP supporters during a visit by the party’s parliamentary caucus to their candidate, Akua Afriyie, Annoh-Dompreh accused the NDC of obstructing the Electoral Commission (EC) from finalizing the collation process.
“If you are truly an NPP member and you see your colleague fighting an NDC member, join and beat the NDC member,” he declared.
He warned that the NPP would not tolerate further delays in announcing Afriyie as the MP-elect, giving the EC a seven-day ultimatum to conclude the process.
The MP also cautioned that failure to resolve the issue could lead to continued disruptions in Parliament.
Additionally, he called on Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo-Dampare, to take decisive action, warning of protests if the alleged obstruction persists.
