The High Court in Accra has changed the bail conditions for Kwabena Adu-Boahene. He is the former Director-General of the National Signals Bureau (NSB). His wife, Angela Adjei-Boateng, is also involved in the case.
They are being investigated for allegedly causing financial loss to the state. Justice Ruby Aryeetey presided over the case and made a significant change.
Mr. Adu-Boahene’s police inquiry bail was reduced from GH¢120 million to GH¢80 million. The new bail conditions require two sureties, with one needing justification.
This decision came after legal arguments were presented for both individuals. The court considered whether the initial bail conditions were proportional.
The investigation continues as authorities look into their financial dealings related to these charges.
