Hit-and-run on Achimota highway kills two Old Achimotans

The Old Achimotan Association (OAA24) is mourning the tragic loss of two members, Davida Asante Boateng and Lilian Akorli, both from Stopford House, who died in a fatal accident on March 7, 2025.

The two were returning to the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) after attending Achimota School’s Annual Bonfire Celebration when they were hit by a speeding black Corolla while crossing the Achimota Highway around 11:30 PM.

The driver failed to stop, leaving bystanders to rush them to the hospital.

Despite medical efforts, Davida passed away at 4:00 AM, while Lilian succumbed later that morning.

OAA24 has extended condolences to their families and pledged support, assuring the public of further updates on the incident.
