Traditional authorities in Sokode have revoked a death curse on President Akufo-Addo and UHAS Vice Chancellor Prof. Lydia Aziato, imposed by unknown individuals opposing the President's honorary doctorate from UHAS.
The curse, linked to claims that late President John Evans Atta Mills established the university, was annulled by Sokode leaders, who asserted that rituals on their land must have their permission.
The authorities emphasized unity and development, ensuring no harm during the ceremony.
Preparations continue for the honorary doctorate and the China Phase Two expansion project's commissioning on July 29, 2024.
