Thaddeus Sory, a private lawyer, responded to Godfred Yeboah Dame. Dame is the former Attorney General and Minister of Justice. He claimed Sory is obsessed with him.
Dame accused Sory of publicly attacking his work. He said this obsession is bewildering and needs healing.
In his response, Dame rejected Sory's allegations. He called them vile propaganda from NDC-affiliated lawyers. He stated that two government lawyers are trying to remove the Chief Justice.
Dame added that he would ignore Sory's comments. However, he expected more abuse from Sory due to his obsession.
Sory questioned how he could be obsessed with someone he taught in court. He expressed disbelief that Dame wrote his own response.
Sory pointed out contradictions in Dame’s statements about clients and petitions against the Chief Justice. He noted that Dame had previously objected to him representing the Speaker of Parliament.
Sory claimed every mention of Dame was a reaction to Dame’s media outbursts. He said, “My name grips him like an epileptic seizure.”
He asked again who is truly obsessed with whom. Sory emphasized that actions have equal reactions.
The exchange highlights deeper tensions within Ghana’s legal and political spheres.
