How did you conclude that Ofori-Atta was suffering from cancer? – OSP quizzed

Frank Davies, a lawyer for former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, has questions. He asked the Special Prosecutor how he concluded that Ofori-Atta has cancer. This is despite no medical report being provided.

On June 2, 2025, Kissi Agyebeng announced that Ofori-Atta's legal team informed him of the diagnosis. He stated that this condition makes Ofori-Atta unavailable for a scheduled appearance.

Agyebeng mentioned that Ofori-Atta had not submitted any medical report to support his claims. He noted that since January 24, there has been no medical documentation from Ofori-Atta.

Agyebeng also pointed out that in March, Ofori-Atta mentioned needing surgery but did not update the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) afterward. He described the letter from May 28 as showing bad faith on Ofori-Atta's part.

Davies responded to Agyebeng’s comments on June 2. He questioned how Agyebeng could conclude that Ofori-Atta has cancer without a medical report.

Davies expressed skepticism about the Special Prosecutor's claims regarding justice and extradition. The OSP has initiated a process for an INTERPOL red notice against Ken Ofori-Atta, which could lead to international arrest and extradition.
