I'll return Sammy Gyamfi's $800 gift and even double it - Agradaa

Evangelist Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, known as Nana Agradaa, plans to return money given to her by Sammy Gyamfi. He is the acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board.

Her decision comes after public backlash and calls for Gyamfi’s suspension. A video on social media shows Gyamfi giving what looks like US dollars to Nana Agradaa. This has drawn strong criticism from Minority Members of Parliament. They called the act inappropriate for a public official.

In a live Instagram broadcast, Nana Agradaa addressed the situation. She promised to refund the money and even double it. “I will return the $800 and double it,” she said. She added that she would find his office and show Ghanaians the return.

The former traditional priestess expressed concern about Gyamfi's career. She stated her conscience wouldn’t let her stay silent on this matter. “If I am the reason Sammy loses his job, I will set my church on fire,” she declared.

Nana Agradaa emphasized that doing good is important for everyone. “The Bible does not discriminate,” she noted regarding Gyamfi’s actions.

Meanwhile, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of using this incident for political gain.
