In a recent social media exchange, A Plus, the MP for Gomoa Central, responded to Dominic Ayine. Ayine is the Attorney General of Ghana.
The online argument gained attention quickly. A Plus accused Ayine of trying to bribe the Parliamentary Appointment Committee.
A Plus was direct in his response. He posted on Facebook: “No!! That is not true. What I said was based on my information. You begged for 500 thousand cedis to bribe the appointment committee. If you are an old fool, I’ll reset your brain. Stupid man.”
This outburst followed Ayine's denial of any wrongdoing regarding A Plus's allegations. The Attorney General claimed he had not committed any illegal acts.
He explained that the accusations arose from receiving campaign funds from Mr. Sledge. Earlier, A Plus called Ayine corrupt and labeled him a “thief.” He even threatened to expose him if he defended himself.
These accusations clearly upset the Attorney General, prompting him to clarify his position publicly.
