President John Dramani Mahama has welcomed Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang back to Ghana.
He expressed relief at her return after her medical leave abroad.
During an official reception on Thursday, May 22, Mahama spoke about the challenges he faced without her.
He mentioned that his recent trip to Togo led to impeachment threats from political opponents.
"I particularly have missed you," Mahama said. "Traveling out of the country has been difficult."
He emphasized the political scrutiny surrounding his movements during her absence.
Mahama expressed joy at Opoku-Agyemang’s return and assured her of his support.
"So I am the most excited to have you back," he added. "You are warmly welcome."
