President John Dramani Mahama is focused on effective governance. He aims to create a legacy that future administrations cannot undo.

Mahama wants to improve life for all Ghanaians. By the end of his four-year term, he hopes to set high standards in government. He believes these standards will be unchangeable by any future leaders.

On May 23, Mahama spoke with clergy members. He emphasized the importance of effective leadership in turning the economy around. “With effective leadership, we can create a better life for our people,” he stated.

He responded to former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's claim about the cedi's appreciation. Bawumia suggested that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) could not identify one policy responsible for this change.

Mahama disagreed, stating that cedi appreciation results from effective leadership, not just one policy. He reiterated his commitment to improving the economy and sustaining cedi gains beyond his term.

He concluded by expressing confidence in restoring public trust in democracy during his presidency.
