Dr. Dominic Ayine, the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, sent a text to Paul Adom Otchere. He expressed disappointment over how Otchere portrayed him on Good Evening Ghana.
In his message, Ayine said he was not surprised by Otchere's actions. He accused the host of creating a negative impression of him.
During the May 2, 2025 episode of Good Evening Ghana, Ayine claimed that Otchere was trying to silence Kwame Asare Obeng, known as A Plus. Adom-Otchere read Ayine's text on air and responded.
He stated that Ayine was misrepresenting his comments about A Plus. Adom-Otchere apologized for any confusion regarding the Law House contract.
Ayine had previously mentioned a threat from A Plus during a media briefing on April 30, 2025. He found the threat laughable since he had nothing to hide.
Ayine explained that A Plus accused him of corruption based on campaign contributions from Dr. Sledge. He challenged A Plus to present evidence or go to the police.
Ayine also urged the media to question A Plus about the National Service ghost names scandal. He expressed readiness to confront A Plus directly about these allegations.
A Plus responded angrily to Ayine’s claims. He alleged that Ayine sought GH¢500,000 to bribe Parliament's Appointment Committee.
A Plus called Ayine an "old fool" and suggested he needed a mental reset. In a Facebook post, he denied Ayine's accusations and reiterated his own claims against him.
