“I am going to walk on the catwalk” – President Mahama on Ghana’s Fashion Week

President John Mahama will participate in Ghana Fashion Week in July 2025. He plans to walk on the catwalk during the event.

Mahama will showcase three different outfits while on the runway. He expressed excitement about this unique experience.

At the unveiling of the Black Star Experience, he said, “This experience is real and belongs to all of us.” He mentioned that he wears made-in-Ghana clothing designed by local designers.

He also announced plans for street carnivals in several cities. These include Accra, Tamale, Kumasi, Ho, and Takoradi.

Mahama stated, “The youth are going to come out for these events.” There will be masquerades and various activities at the carnivals.

Additionally, there will be a Taste of Ghana food fair showcasing diverse Ghanaian cuisine. Mahama noted that unlike many African countries with one main dish, Ghana has a rich variety of foods.
