Sammy Gyamfi, the Acting CEO of the Ghana Gold Board, has apologized to Ghanaians. This follows a viral video showing him gifting money to Nana Agradaa, a former fetish priestess turned pastor.
Gyamfi expressed sincere regret for his actions. He explained that giving money is part of his daily routine. He often lends to people in need.
In the viral video, Gyamfi was seen next to his white Range Rover. After talking with Nana Agradaa, he got into his car and counted US dollars. Agradaa insisted he give her all the cash instead of just some.
She then took all the money from him and showed it off to bystanders. She exclaimed, “I have taken dollars from Sammy Gyamfi.”
In his apology, Gyamfi acknowledged the criticism he received over the past day. He clarified that his gesture was meant as kindness and not for public attention.
He said he thought it would remain private and regretted its public exposure. Gyamfi also recognized why some people were upset and expressed his sincere apologies.
He thanked those who offered support and guidance during this time. He reaffirmed his commitment to serving society through public office and focusing on national development.
