I can’t afford to disappoint President Mahama – Prof Kobby Mensah

Professor Kobby Mensah is the CEO of the Ghana Tourism Development Company Limited (GTDC). He feels confident in fulfilling his responsibilities.

He is also an Associate Professor at the University of Ghana Business School. Prof. Mensah expressed humility about his new role. He aims to meet the expectations of President John Mahama, who appointed him.

In an interview on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, he shared his gratitude for support. The goodwill messages he received have been overwhelming.

“People appreciate the President for including academics in governance,” he said. “I must repay this confidence. I can’t disappoint him.” He noted that everything has been going smoothly so far.

GTDC's mission is to promote tourism and attract investment in this sector. The company seeks partnerships with Ghanaians and foreign entities for joint ventures.

Additionally, GTDC offers financial and technical help to small tourism businesses. This support aims to improve their efficiency and service quality.
