I cannot say if Adu Boahen belongs to NPP or NDC – Nyindam

Matthew Nyindam, the MP for Kpandai Constituency, denies knowing Kwabena Adu Boahene.

Adu Boahene is the former Director-General of the National Signals Bureau.

In an interview on GHOne, Nyindam said, “I don’t know him.”

He also expressed uncertainty about Adu Boahene's political affiliations.

Nyindam stated he cannot confirm if Adu Boahene belongs to NPP or NDC.

When interviewer Serwaa Amihere mentioned Adu Boahene's role in the 2024 manifesto committee, Nyindam clarified.

He said that being involved does not mean someone is part of the ruling party.

“This man is a technocrat,” he explained.

“He rose through the ranks to become a director.”

Nyindam emphasized that committee membership doesn’t imply party affiliation.

“He could be an NPP member or not,” he added.

He suggested that experts can contribute to policy discussions regardless of politics.

Kwabena Adu-Boahene is under investigation for allegedly embezzling GH¢39 million from his agency.

Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine shared this information on March 24, 2025.

“We are tracking suspect Adu-Boahene, his wife, and their assets,” he stated.

Charges will be filed against them soon.

Adu-Boahene was arrested by the National Investigative Bureau at Kotoka International Airport.

His wife was later taken from their home by the NIB last week.
