Professor Ransford Gyampo, CEO of the Ghana Shippers Authority, has confirmed that he declared his assets a day after assuming office, in line with constitutional requirements.
Speaking on JoyNews, he revealed that he initially sought help from lawyer Martin Kpebu to obtain the form, but due to delays, he made alternative arrangements.
Prof. Gyampo personally submitted the form to the Auditor-General’s office and was issued a receipt as proof. He emphasized that asset declaration is a legal duty for public officials and urged others to comply.
Appointed by President Mahama, Prof. Gyampo was previously a lecturer at the University of Ghana.
Meanwhile, the president has directed all public officials to declare their assets by the end of the first quarter to promote transparency and accountability.
