I didn’t go to previous TGMAs with high expectations like I did this year - King Promise

Ghanaian artist King Promise recently won the TGMAs Artiste of the Year. He shared valuable lessons from his past nominations on Daybreak Hitz with DJ Slim.

King Promise reflected on losing in various categories at the TGMAs. He emphasized one key lesson: "Just keep pushing, bro." He believes in self-confidence and hard work. This can turn non-believers into believers.

In previous years, he did not have high hopes for awards. However, this year was different for him at the 2025 TGMAs.

When asked about losing all seven nominations in his first TGMAs, he said it taught him resilience. He felt excited to be there and had no high expectations that time. For him, it was a nice experience overall.
