I didn’t walk out of Newsfile – Ntim Fordjour refutes claims by Sammy Gyamfi

Rev. John Ntim Fordjour is the MP for Assin South. He is also the Ranking Member on Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee. He has denied claims that he walked out of JoyNews’ *Newsfile* on April 5.

Fordjour stated that he was only scheduled for one segment. After his segment, he left the studio as planned.

On April 6, he posted a statement on X addressing these claims. Sammy Gyamfi, the Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress, suggested that Fordjour stormed out during the show.

“I never walked out of *Newsfile*,” Fordjour said. He criticized statements made by Samson Ayenini and Gyamfi.

He explained that he was only booked for a specific segment. After it ended, he exited while another panellist took over.

Fordjour urged people to ignore what he called a “mischievous narrative.” He described Gyamfi's video as staged and not coincidental.
