Foreign Affairs Minister-designate Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has dismissed claims that his exposés are politically motivated, insisting that his focus is on safeguarding Ghana’s resources.
Appearing before the Appointments Committee on Friday, January 31, 2025, he stressed that his investigations aim to prevent wasteful spending and corruption, not to gain political advantage.
Ablakwa reaffirmed his commitment to integrity and accountability, vowing to uphold these values in his role at the Foreign Affairs Ministry. He emphasized that Ghana’s foreign service must reflect transparency and responsible governance to protect the nation’s reputation on the global stage.
His remarks reinforce his stance on financial prudence and anti-corruption efforts in public service.
