I had disagreement with Akufo-Addo over his failure to reshuffle his ministers – Former Subin MP

Eugene Boakye Antwi, the former MP for Subin, expressed his disagreement with former President Akufo-Addo. He criticized Akufo-Addo for not reshuffling his ministers.

Antwi clarified that he holds no personal grudge against the president. He supported Akufo-Addo's rise to the presidency. Despite their differences, he still considers him a successful leader.

During a panel discussion on Peace FM, Antwi explained his concerns. He expected certain decisions from Akufo-Addo that did not happen. He stated, “I disagreed with the president because he did not want to reshuffle his ministers.”

He emphasized that this disagreement was political and not personal. Antwi acknowledged the good things Akufo-Addo accomplished as president. However, he believes hindsight might lead the president to make different choices.

In related news, Dr. Bawumia admitted mistakes made by the previous government. Many see this as him criticizing his former boss. He pointed out that failure to reshuffle ministerial portfolios contributed to their electoral defeat.

Dr. Bawumia highlighted several issues affecting Ghanaians: rising living costs and government arrogance. He mentioned the e-levy and debt restructuring as additional problems faced by citizens.

While addressing party members in Takoradi, he noted their suggestions were ignored for eight years. The party had advised against implementing both the e-levy and debt restructuring program but was not listened to.
