Former National Signals Bureau (NSB) Director-General Kwabena Adu Boahene remains confident in his innocence despite facing allegations of embezzling state funds. After a court hearing on March 28, his bail was reduced from GH¢120 million to GH¢80 million.
As he was escorted in handcuffs, he assured reporters, “I’ll definitely come out of this,” emphasizing that he had not been formally charged.
His wife, Angela Adjei Boateng, also faces GH¢80 million bail with strict conditions, including reporting to EOCO three times weekly and travel restrictions.
Adu Boahene, accused of diverting state funds during his tenure from 2017 to 2025, awaits trial as his lawyer, Samuel Atta Akyea, remains hopeful about securing his release.
