I’ll return Sammy Gyamfi’s $800 gift – Agradaa

Evangelist Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, known as Nana Agradaa, has made a promise. She will return the money she received from Sammy Gyamfi. Gyamfi is the Acting CEO of the Ghana Gold Board. This decision comes after public criticism and calls for his suspension.

In a viral video, Gyamfi is seen giving what looks like U.S. dollars to Agradaa. This footage has drawn backlash, especially from Minority members in Parliament. They have called this gesture inappropriate and want him suspended immediately.

In response to the controversy, Nana Agradaa spoke on Instagram Live. She stated that she plans to return the $800 and even double it. “I will find his office and show Ghanaians that I have returned the money,” she said.

Agradaa expressed concern about her involvement harming Gyamfi’s career. She said her conscience would not allow that to happen. “If I am the reason Sammy loses his job, I will set my church on fire,” she added.

She emphasized that doing good is important according to the Bible. “The Bible does not discriminate,” she noted regarding Gyamfi's gift.

Meanwhile, Felix Kwakye Ofosu criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He accused them of opportunistic politics over calls for Gyamfi’s suspension. Speaking on Eyewitness News, he questioned their credibility on public accountability issues.

“The NPP is just dabbling in opportunistic politics,” he said. He argued they do not believe in their own principles based on their conduct in government.
