I’m a freemason – Youth Minister nominee

George Opare Addo, the Minister-nominee for Youth Development and Empowerment, confirmed his membership in the Freemasons during his vetting by Parliament's Appointments Committee on January 22.

The disclosure arose from a direct question posed by Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, who further queried Opare Addo on his trust in challenging situations.

The nominee responded by referencing "the grand architect of the universe."

Opare Addo emphasized his commitment to inclusive leadership and pledged to meet the expectations of Ghanaian youth.

Highlighting his vision, he stated, “I urge every Ghanaian youth to believe in the leadership I bring. I am here to serve all, without discrimination.”
