I’m here because you believed in me – President Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama visited the Upper West Region. He thanked the people for their support during his Thank You tour.

Mahama stated he is back in office because Ghanaians believe in him. He said, “I’m here because you believe in me,” according to GHONE TV.

During a durbar at Wa Jubilee Park, he discussed economic recovery signs. He emphasized that stabilizing the economy has been a priority since he took office.

In March, his government presented a budget to cut spending. The goal was to redirect saved funds into key programs from their manifesto.

Mahama reported positive results from these efforts. He noted improvements in the local currency and lower prices for goods and services.

He praised Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson and Bank of Ghana Governor Dr. Johnson Asiama for their roles in this recovery effort.

Mahama expressed confidence that more good news will come by August. He looks forward to the mid-year budget review presentation in Parliament.

He commended both leaders and their teams for effective collaboration on economic issues.
