I’m not going back to medicine – Napo speaks on life after Parliament

Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, former running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and known as Napo, has confirmed that he will not return to practicing medicine following his exit from Parliament.

In an interview with 1957 News, Napo emphasized that while he values his medical training, he has moved on from that career.

“That life is past. That is a skill I’ve acquired, so I keep it,” he explained.

Dr. Opoku Prempeh, who teamed up with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for the NPP’s 2024 election bid, acknowledged the party’s loss to the NDC led by John Dramani Mahama.

It remains uncertain whether the NPP will field the pair again for the 2028 elections, though the party is focused on making a strong comeback.
