I’m proud NPP lost 2024 election; I’ll quit politics if… – Hopeson Adorye

Hopeson Adorye, a former member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is proud of the party's defeat in the 2024 election.

He is now a leading member of the Movement for Change, led by Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen. Mr. Adorye has vowed to quit politics if the NPP gets more than 28% in the 2028 election.

He made this statement on Adom FM's Dwaso Nsem. He also declared that he will never return to the NPP.

Adorye plans to keep drawing attention away from the NPP while helping the National Democratic Congress (NDC) win.

“Who said I will return to the NPP? I’m proud they lost,” he stated. “If they secure more than 28% in 2028, I will quit politics.”

The Electoral Commission (EC) announced John Mahama as the winner of the 2024 presidential election.

Mahama received 6,328,397 votes, which is 56.55% of valid ballots cast. His main opponent, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, received 4,657,304 votes or 41.61%.
