President John Dramani Mahama has expressed his desire to be an instrument of change for Ghana, stating that he prays for God’s guidance in leading the country toward prosperity.
Speaking at the Cedar Mountain Chapel of Assemblies of God, East Legon, he reflected on how divine intervention shaped his journey into politics, despite his initial reluctance.
Mahama recalled childhood dreams of becoming a fireman or a transport driver, noting that God ultimately directed his path. He also shared how his father’s political struggles made him hesitant about leadership.
Rev. Stephen Wengam, who received Mahama at the service, praised him as the church’s “First Fruit President” and led a team of pastors to pray for him and his wife, Lordina.
