I sanctioned Addison's home 'raid', only hard drive was taken - AG

The Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Dominic Ayine, clarified recent claims about a raid on Dr. Addison's property. He stated that it was not the CCTV cameras that were taken, but the hard drive storing the footage.

This clarification comes after public outcry over the raid on March 19. A team of heavily armed National Security operatives raided Dr. Addison’s home in Roman Ridge. The incident raised concerns about due process and the motives behind the operation.

During a press conference, Dr. Ayine explained, "The cameras were actually not taken." He emphasized that it was the hard drive that was removed during the investigation.

Dr. Ayine described the hard drive as essential for storing data from the CCTV system. "The camera captures images, but they are stored in the hard drive," he said.

He confirmed that either investigators or National Security personnel took only the hard drive during the raid. "It was the hard drive we took," he clarified.

In response to misinformation about this incident, Dr. Ayine refuted claims that cameras were taken. He stated, "Those who say we took CCTV cameras are mistaken."
