I was a charcoal seller, but Education changed me-Ursula Defends Free SHS

Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Minister for Communications, has passionately defended the Free Senior High School (SHS) program, sharing her personal story of how education transformed her life.

Speaking on Pure FM, she reflected on her humble beginnings, with her mother selling charcoal to support her education.

Ursula argued that the NDC’s criticism of Free SHS fails to recognize the vital role education plays in national development.

She stressed that the initiative is an investment in Ghana’s future, creating leaders and problem-solvers for tomorrow.
