I wonder if NPP expected Jane Naana to return home in a Trotro – Kwame Owusu Danso

Kwame Owusu Danso, Esq., is the Vice Presidential candidate for the Movement for Change. He questioned if the NPP expected Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman to return in an OA bus or a Sprinter.

He noted that when the NPP was in power, they flew abroad to watch football. Some even flew out just to buy pizza and returned the same day.

Speaking on Pan Africa TV, Kwame Danso addressed NPP propaganda. He asked if they wanted her to fly in with an STC bus. He emphasized that she is the Vice President of Ghana.

He criticized those who flew abroad for leisure while questioning her travel choices. “Are those people more human than our Vice President?” he asked.

His comments followed Hon Vincent Ekow Assafuah's remarks about her travel. Assafuah questioned why she didn’t use a first-class ticket instead of a private jet.

He accused the presidency of causing financial loss by chartering a private jet from London to Accra. Assafuah pointed out that Ghanaians are told there isn’t enough money for fuel but a private jet was used.

On Channel One TV, he stated that flying commercially would have saved money. A first-class ticket costs about 100,000 cedis, while business class is around 50,000 to 60,000 cedis.

Chartering a private jet cost at least GH¢2 million old money. The government could have saved approximately 1.9 million cedis by choosing commercial flights instead.
