I would’ve personally asked that Sammy Gyamfi should be forgiven but… – Walewale MP

Dr. Kabiru Tia-Mahama is the MP for Walewale. He also serves on the Finance Committee. He recently spoke about Sammy Gyamfi, the acting CEO of the Gold Board and NDC's National Communications Officer.

On May 12, he appeared on JoyNews’ The Pulse. He addressed calls for action against Mr. Gyamfi.

Sammy Gyamfi faced criticism after a viral video surfaced. In it, he was seen giving dollars to evangelist Nana Agradaa. This raised concerns about ethics and transparency within the NDC government.

Supporters and critics questioned his actions' appropriateness. Dr. Mahama expressed that he personally would support forgiveness for Gyamfi.

He stated, “In my personal interest, I will say that he should be forgiven.” However, he acknowledged that this view is not nationalistic.

Dr. Mahama stressed that political leaders must uphold public standards. He emphasized the need for the NDC to show commitment to discipline as they seek credibility as an alternative government.
