IGP Welcomes CDS with Guard of Honour at Police Headquarters

Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), hosted Major General William Agyapong.

Major General Agyapong is the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS). He received a Guard of Honour at the National Police Headquarters in Accra.

This was his first official visit to the Police Headquarters since becoming CDS. The IGP and members of the Police Management Board welcomed him. They observed a ceremonial display in his honour.

After the parade, the IGP and CDS met to discuss collaboration. They reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen ties between the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Armed Forces.

The leaders addressed key national security concerns during their meeting. They focused on ongoing tensions in Bawku and inter-agency coordination. This visit shows a renewed dedication to work together for peace and stability in Ghana's evolving security landscape.
