IGP Welcomes CDS with Guard of Honour at Police Headquarters

Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), hosted Major General William Agyapong.

The event took place at the National Police Headquarters in Accra. It featured a Guard of Honour for the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS). This was Major General Agyapong’s first official visit since taking on his role.

He was welcomed by the IGP and members of the Police Management Board (POMAB). Together, they observed the ceremonial display held in his honour.

After the parade, the IGP and CDS met to discuss important matters. They reaffirmed their commitment to improving collaboration between their agencies.

They talked about national security issues, including tensions in Bawku. Both leaders stressed the need for inter-agency coordination to maintain peace and stability.

This visit shows a renewed dedication from Ghana's top security agencies. They aim to work more closely together as security challenges evolve.
