IGP declares an all-out war, orders Regional Commanders to tackle illegal mining

In response to the escalating issue of illegal mining in Ghana, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has declared a comprehensive crackdown on these operations. During a recent meeting with regional commanders, he emphasized the urgent need for intensified efforts to combat illegal mining activities that are causing significant environmental and economic harm.

The IGP ordered commanders to deploy all available resources to dismantle illegal mining sites and apprehend offenders.
