IGP promises to address pending police promotions, welfare issues

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, has assured police personnel that their pending promotions and welfare concerns will be addressed promptly. During a recent meeting with the Ghana Police Service's senior officers, he emphasized the importance of recognizing and rewarding the hard work of officers to boost morale within the force.

Dr. Dampare acknowledged that many officers have been waiting for promotions for extended periods, which can lead to frustration and decreased motivation. He committed to resolving these issues by implementing a structured promotion process that is fair and transparent, ensuring that deserving officers receive recognition for their contributions.

Additionally, the IGP highlighted ongoing efforts to improve the overall welfare of police personnel. This includes enhancing working conditions, providing better resources, and addressing other challenges faced by officers in their daily duties. By prioritizing these matters, Dr. Dampare aims to foster a more supportive environment within the Ghana Police Service, ultimately leading to improved service delivery and public trust in law enforcement.
