The Agape New Testament Church was alive with worship and storytelling. On April 13th, 2025, International Justice Mission (IJM) Ghana hosted the 5th ARISE Concert. The theme was "Echoes of Freedom."
The event was part of IJM Ghana’s campaign against human trafficking. It attracted hundreds from various backgrounds. Faith leaders, artists, survivors, and advocates united for justice.
This year’s concert marked a significant milestone. It celebrated ten years of IJM Ghana’s mission to protect the vulnerable.
Anita Budu, IJM’s West Africa Director, spoke passionately at the event. She said, “We are not just celebrating progress; we are calling for action.” She emphasized that justice is everyone's responsibility.
The night featured performances from top gospel artists in Ghana. Pastor Eugene Zuta and Christ Life Music were among them. The Bethel Revival Choir returned for their second appearance. Special guest SOBI from Germany also performed songs from her debut album.
A highlight of the evening was launching the “Echoes of Freedom” album. This album features original songs by IJM Ghana’s choir, Sound of Justice (SOJ). It aims to inspire change in the fight against human trafficking.
Pastor Eugene Zuta shared his thoughts on worship: “Worship is more than a song; it declares truth and justice.” He noted that music can inspire change and unite people.
The evening included a documentary about survivors leading the Ghana Survivor Network.
Worlanyo Forster, IJM Ghana’s National Director of Advocacy, expressed gratitude for the event's success. He thanked everyone who contributed to making it memorable.
He stated that ending human trafficking requires collective effort and support through various means like advocacy and prayer.
As they reflect on past achievements, IJM Ghana urges all Ghanaians to prepare for future challenges.
ARISE 2025 was more than an event; it was a movement for justice and freedom. Together, they showed that when united in worship, freedom becomes possible.
