Ibrahim Mahama Intervenes as Nigerian Arrested Near Jubilee House
National Security operatives arrested Nigerian businessman Ben Peters at Aurora Apartments in Kanda. His arrest followed the intervention of Ibrahim Mahama, the president's brother.
The operation involved police and military forces. It was led by Richard Jakpa, Director of Special Operations, and Mustapha Gbande, Deputy Director of Operations at the Presidency.
Peters and some armed men had blocked the entrance to the apartments with vehicles. This action restricted residents' movement and access to their homes.
Before his arrest, Peters hid until Ibrahim Mahama arrived on the scene. Afterward, security forces managed to apprehend him.
Following the arrest, National Security seized Peters' vehicles. Gbande stated that such behavior is illegal in Ghana. He emphasized that it cannot be tolerated in this country.
