If A Plus has any evidence of corruption against me, I challenged him to present it – AG

The Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Dominic Ayine, responded to MP A Plus. A Plus accused him of bribery and corruption.

Dr. Ayine challenged A Plus to present any evidence he has. He stated that he is not a member of the Finance Committee. Therefore, he cannot influence its composition as claimed.

At a media briefing on April 30, 2025, Dr. Ayine said he has documents to support his claims. He emphasized his integrity, stating he has never stolen or taken bribes in office.

He added that the President would not have appointed him if there were doubts about his integrity. Dr. Ayine warned A Plus that they could confront each other directly.

He found A Plus's threats laughable because he has nothing to hide. Dr. Ayine mentioned that A Plus accused him based on campaign contributions from a businessman.

He argued that if receiving donations is considered theft, then many MPs are guilty too. Meanwhile, A Plus responded by alleging that Dr. Ayine sought GH¢500,000 for bribery.

In a Facebook post, A Plus denied the Attorney General's claims and reiterated his accusations. He insisted that Dr. Ayine begged for money to bribe the Appointment Committee of Parliament.

A Plus concluded with a provocative statement directed at Dr. Ayine regarding his character.
