If Mahama doesn’t sack Sammy Gyamfi, he will face consequences – Ellen Daaku warns

Ellen Ama Ofosuaa Daaku, a member of the NPP Communications team, has made a statement. She warned that President John Mahama must dismiss Sammy Gyamfi, the CEO of the Ghana Gold Board. If he does not act, there will be consequences.

Daaku recalled Mahama's past actions against members of his party. She mentioned Victoria Hammah, a former Deputy Minister. Hamma was dismissed after saying she would quit politics for $1 million.

In an interview on Angel TV, Daaku said, “Victoria Hammah was sacked for her comments. Now Sammy Gyamfi has money and is giving it away. If Mahama did nothing about this, we will respond.”

She also claimed that Gyamfi had caused problems for Mahama and the NDC. “Gyamfi has put Mahama in a difficult position,” she stated. She noted that everyone can apologize but warned Gyamfi could become a scapegoat.

Daaku emphasized that Gyamfi’s actions were problematic so soon after launching the NDC's Code of Conduct. “Everyone knows you are Mahama’s favorite,” she added.

“If Mahama doesn’t sack Sammy Gyamfi by next week, I will take action,” she declared.

Sammy Gyamfi is under scrutiny after a video showed him gifting large sums to Nana Agradaa, a fetish priestess turned pastor. Agradaa later claimed she returned $800 given to her by Gyamfi.
