Edudzi Tameklo, the Director of Legal Services for the NDC, has issued a warning. He addressed former Attorney-General Godfred Yeboah Dame after Dame's recent comments.
Dame called for good men in Ghana to stand up for what is right. He stated that representing suspended Chief Justice Torkornoo does not indicate NPP alignment.
In an interview, Dame emphasized his commitment to defending the Judiciary. He believes this stance has defined his career from the start.
Speaking on JOY FM, he said it’s time for good men to speak out. He claimed he has always stood up for the judiciary against attacks.
Dame insisted that misleading the public must be corrected. He argued that his actions align with his principles since becoming Attorney General.
He clarified that his focus is not on Justice Torkonoo but on defending the Judiciary. According to him, there is a calculated effort by the NDC government to undermine it.
In response, Edudzi Tameklo warned that if good men rise, Dame could lose his law license. Tameklo stated, “If good men rise, you will lose your license.”
Additionally, Godfred Yeboah Dame faces allegations of unprofessional conduct. A private citizen named Daniel Kwame Ofosu-Appiah filed a complaint with the General Legal Council.
The complaint relates to Dame's behavior in the Republic v. Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson case. It alleges he attempted to coerce Richard Jakpa into giving false evidence.
Dame was recorded telling Jakpa to skip court and lie against Dr. Forson. Edudzi Tameklo suggested that Dame should confess and seek forgiveness from a priest.
