If he keeps losing cases, he’ll have himself to blame – Lawyer to AG

Private legal practitioner Kwame Adofo has issued a warning. He believes the Attorney-General's approach to media statements could harm legal processes. This could ultimately backfire on the Attorney-General.

Adofo said, “If he keeps going that way and losing cases, he will have himself to blame.” He advised the Attorney-General to stop making public comments about ongoing cases.

“It’s better he doesn’t give press conferences on matters in court,” he added. Adofo stressed that legal issues should be resolved in court, not through public statements. These statements can sway public opinion before trials begin.

He urged the Attorney-General to focus on proper prosecution instead of making compromising remarks. Adofo described a recent incident as a tragedy and unprecedented. He stated, “It should never have happened.”

He criticized the Attorney-General for making a serious error and urged him not to repeat it. “He should concentrate on charging people and letting the court decide their guilt or innocence,” Adofo concluded.
