Dr. Kojo Pumpuni Asante, Director of Programmes at CDD-Ghana, has highlighted the crucial link between media success and citizens' well-being, stating that the media drives active participation in democracy.
Speaking at JoyNews’ National Dialogue on Media Freedom, he warned that attacking the media out of political or personal grievances harms democracy.
Dr. Asante stressed the media's vital role during crises and noted that young journalists shape how Ghana’s youth view the country.
He called for greater support and protection for the media, emphasizing its importance for the nation’s future.
