In a world focused on flashy cars and lavish lifestyles, Ghanaian businessman Seidu Agongo chooses a different path. His journey is filled with purpose, compassion, and a commitment to uplifting others.
On the Master of the Game show on CTV, hosted by Kwasi Kyei Darkwah, Mr. Agongo shared his thoughts on what truly matters in life. He asked, “Do you remember Kwame Nkrumah’s cars? What about Jerry John Rawlings’ or John Dramani Mahama’s?” He pointed out that nobody cares about these things.
For Mr. Agongo, true legacy comes from touching lives, not owning possessions. “I use my money to take care of poor people,” he said. “There’s more joy in helping others than spending it on myself.”
Mr. Agongo has a long history of philanthropy. He shared stories of helping vulnerable children and orphans. This work has brought him more satisfaction than any luxury item could provide.
He recounted paying school fees for many underprivileged children who are now responsible adults with families. “That’s the most important thing,” he emphasized.
He believes it is his duty to help children grow into who they want to be. “That is where I get my joy,” he explained. “Not from women or cars.”
In a society that often chases status and appearances, Seidu Agongo reminds us that investing in people is vital. Long after expensive cars stop running, our impact on lives continues across generations.
