The year-on-year inflation rate in Ghana dropped to 21.2% in April 2025. This is down from 22.4% in March 2025, according to the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS).
The decline of 1.2 percentage points marks the fifth consecutive decrease since December 2024. This trend shows ongoing efforts to stabilize prices and control inflation.
However, the month-on-month inflation rate increased slightly. It rose to 0.8% in April from 0.2% in March, a rise of 0.6 percentage points.
At a press conference in Accra, Dr. Alhassan Iddrisu discussed these figures. He noted that the decline in year-on-year inflation is due to moderation in food and non-food prices.
