Inflation dropped to 21.2% in April 2025. This is the lowest level in eight months. A stronger cedi has helped reduce import-related price pressures.
The new figure shows an improvement from 22.4% in March. It marks the fifth consecutive month of disinflation in 2025. Consumer prices fell by 0.8% month-on-month during this period.
Both food and non-food inflation decreased, contributing to this trend. Food inflation slowed to 25.0% in April, down from 26.5% in March. Non-food inflation also decreased to 17.9%, down from 18.7%.
