Interior Minister denies allegations of plot to rig December elections

Interior Minister Henry Quartey has strongly denied allegations made by NDC Deputy General Secretary Mustapha Gbande, who claimed that Quartey conspired with the Deputy Inspector General of Police and the Director of the National Intelligence Bureau to rig the upcoming general elections.

Quartey dismissed these accusations as "baseless" and "unfortunate," asserting they were meant to erode public trust in the government.

He has demanded a retraction from Gbande, warning of potential legal action if the claims are not withdrawn.

Quartey also reassured the public that the government is committed to a peaceful transition of power if the NPP loses the election.
